Hi friends! If you’re into hot cereal as much as we are, you’ve probably noticed a lot of hype around the idea of overnight oats as a new, cooler way of eating oats for breakfast. If there’s a better way to enjoy oatmeal in the summer months, we’re all ears. What makes overnight oats tasty is that by soaking them overnight, you get a really creamy, yet cool and refreshing texture that we think is a really neat way to enjoy breakfast. Overnight oats or Bircher Muesli (what they call it in Scandinavia) generally contains rolled oats and a liquid such as almond milk that the oats can absorb overnight. Of course in our Hot & Fit cereal we also have Superfood grains (i.e. quinoa & amaranth), fruit, nuts and seeds, so the base has more chewy, crispy, crunchy goodies to start with. The best part – by morning the overnight oats are ready to eat, no further preparation needed. You may have seen our previous post on how easy it is to make overnight oats with our new Superfood Blueberry Chia cereal, but this time we stepped it up with delicious new recipes to support this trending breakfast idea. Since we’re nearing the end of the summer and most parts of the country are very hot, we’ve set out to create refreshing twists on our existing hot cereal flavors inspired from around the world.
