Ingredients

For oatmeal:
2 bananas or an avocado
3/4 cup water or unsweetened almond milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 teaspoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
2 pinches sea salt
2 cups Earnest Eats Mayan Blend Hot Cereal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup almond flour/meal
For frosting:
1/2 avocado
1 banana
6 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
pinch of sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Mash bananas/avocado together with the water, vanilla, maple, cocoa powder and salt.  It is easiest if you blend it together in a high power blender. You can also mash them up with a fork, it just takes more time.

Step 2

Once the wet ingredients are mashed, place in a medium sized bowl

Step 3

Put in baking powder, Earnest Hot & Fit Cereal and almond meal

Step 4

Mix together with a spoon and place in an 8×8 baking pan

Step 5

Bake in the oven at 350 F degrees for 20-22 minutes, or until it no longer looks like batter on top

Step 6

Take out to cool completely (10-15 minutes) before placing frosting

Step 7

Frosting:

Blend together in a blender

Step 8

Spread on top of cooled baked oatmeal

Step 9

Cut strawberries into heart-shapes:

Cut the stem of the strawberry off

Step 10

Then slice them in half so it can lay flat on the cutting board

Step 11

Take a paring knife/smaller knife and outline a heart shape for each half

Step 12

Place on top of the cut baked oatmeal for a fun Valentine‘s Day or healthy heart theme!
